Hello everyone. My name is Bruce Forde, a naturist since 2016, and a wannabe naturist since the year 2000. At that time, I was on vacation in Greece when my girlfriend surprised me by suggesting we try out going to a nude beach, which we did on the island of Ios. It was a life-altering experience, with a family-oriented beach (2 families BBQ'ing), absolutely beautiful water, and not too crowded. I was hooked.
The feeling of liberation and freedom was incredible. For the next 15 years, I was relatively content skinnydipping off my boat, with early morning skinny dips off my dock. Unfortunately, my girlfriend - having had her curiosity satisfied - didn't share my enthusiasm for skinnydips and nude suntanning. After splitting up at the end of 2015, in 2016, I decided to visit Bare Oaks, although I still had a trailer in Muskoka. A long story short, I have been at Bare Oaks ever since.
I retired from the taxi business in 2016, after 24 years as an owner, operator and driver. I've been on the board of the FCN since 2018. I feel I represent the senior's viewpoint of naturism with the board, having many conversations with members of Bare Oaks and visitors from all over Canada and the US. These discussions have exposed me to various points of view regarding the naturist lifestyle and its future, and have given me a very positive outlook on life. I am fortunate to have made many friends on the FCN board and at Bare Oaks.
