About the FCN


Family Sitting at LakeThe Federation of Canadian Naturists (FCN) is Canada’s national nudist organization. Along with the Fédération québécoise de naturisme (FQN), the FCN represents and promotes the naturist lifestyle as wholesome, healthy, and enjoyable.

Our Mission Statement

The Federation of Canadian Naturists is a member-supported, not for profit organization dedicated to fostering a greater understanding, acceptance and appreciation of naturism as a way of life throughout Canada.

What we do...

inf_logo_newThe FCN publishes a quarterly magazine, called Going Natural/au Naturel, (in both print and digital versions) and information brochures. We give seminars and media interviews and run naturism booths at various major exhibitions. We have affiliations with Canadian nudist/naturist clubs and close links with other naturist organizations. We represent Canadian naturism at the congresses of the International Naturist Federation (INF).

The Federation of Canadian Naturists (FCN) and the Fédération québécoise de naturisme (FQN) share the Canadian membership in the International Naturist Federation (INF), which has its world headquarters in Horsching, Austria.


Our purpose...


1. To foster a belief in naturism as a way of life in harmony with nature, characterized by the practice of social nudity with the intention of encouraging self-respect, respect for others and for the environment.
2. To educate and raise awareness of naturism and its many physical, psychological and social benefits through a variety of educational resources, as well as through various outreach efforts.
3. To represent the interests of our members and support them. To represent the interests of our members and support them through a variety of resources, special events and services, including recommendations on reputable clubs and other naturist destinations.
4. To support our affiliated clubs in their endeavors to create more opportunities for naturist living.
5. To serve as a voice for naturists across Canada and an internationally recognized leader, as well as a respected authority on naturism and related issues.
6. To uphold the safety, privacy and dignity of individuals by maintaining standards of conduct among our members, clubs and stakeholders.
7. To encourage environmental stewardship at all private and public naturist venues, while fostering a greater understanding and respect for our natural environment.
8. To cultivate partnerships with clubs, organizations and stake holders in order to provide naturist events and other opportunities across Canada.
9. To defend and advance the basic rights and freedoms of naturists through legal advocacy.

Why your support is important...

The FCN is entirely volunteer-run and depends on the support of its members to pursue its activities. By being a member of the Federation, you help to make the circle of those who adopt the naturist lifestyle ever wider. You help to make naturism become an accepted form of recreation for all Canadians.


What you get...

  • For $50.00/year in Canada, $25 for Youth (18 - 30), ($55 in the USA, $60 internationally) you will receive four issues of the magazine Going Natural/au Naturel, (paper and/or digital versions) the FCN's official magazine since 1986. Every issue is full of naturist news, photos, reviews, trip reports, complete Canadian clubs listing and much more. Youth membership receives digital magazines only.
  • You'll also receive an FCN identification card, which gives you reduced day rates at many clubs, both in Canada and in the USA and Internationally. Your card also gives you membership in the International Naturist Federation (INF).
  • Most importantly, you will know that you are helping in our efforts to get naturism acceptance and growth!
  • Members who are Canadian residents get voting privileges at our Annual General Meeting.
  • The INF represents naturists in over 30 countries. Founded in August 1953 at the Montalivet naturist resort in France, it is dedicated to the worldwide acceptance of naturist ideals and lifestyle recreational social nudism. INF organizations from around the world gather every two years in a conference designed to coordinate the efforts to promote naturism around the world.
