Club/Business Membership

In addition, the FCN has a membership class for naturist clubs & businesses. While the clubs/businesses have no votes at the FCN meetings, the owner/manager is given a full voting membership, which allows them to vote on behalf of their club or business. Membership of a club or business is not an endorsement. It is simply recognition of FCN partners. For more information, click here.

The FCN is an entirely volunteer-run Canada Not for Profit Corporation. It depends on the donation of time, services, and materials.

The philosophy is to try to divide tasks into as many small components as possible so that each volunteer will do as much or as little as they are able. Not every person is able to give of him or herself on a regular basis but we appreciate ANY contribution that someone is able to make.

If you would like to help, please contact our volunteer co-ordinator at .

The Annual General Meeting is held at the end of the summer. An announcement as to the exact time, date and place is sent to each registered member through Going Natural/au Naturel and by e-mail.

Board meetings are held every other month. In addition, Board Members and the Executive Committee may meet informally to discuss specific issues.

To completely understand how the FCN works, you should read our By-Laws.

FCN Board meetings are held on the 2nd Sunday of alternate months beginning with January with two exceptions: May (1st Sunday) and June (2nd Sunday in June instead of July).

Start time: 1 p.m. (unless otherwise agreed to)

  • January (2nd Sunday)
  • March (2nd Sunday)
  • May (1st Sunday)
  • June (2nd Sunday)
  • September (2nd Sunday)
  • November (2nd Sunday)

This misses all long weekends and stays away from busy December.
Holidays in those months are:

  • January: New Year's Day (Jan. 1)
  • March: No statutory holidays (Easter could get close but is rarely as early as the second Sunday)
  • May: Mother's Day (2nd Sunday), Victoria Day (3rd Monday)
  • June: No statutory holidays. Father's Day (3rd Sunday), St. Jean-Baptiste Day (Québec), Canada Day (July 1st) might involve the last weekend in June.
  • September: Labour Day (1st Monday) - There could be a conflict from time to time for anyone who is Jewish (Rosh Hashanah/Yom Kippur)
  • November: No statutory holidays. Veteran's Day is the 11th and US Thanksgiving on the 28th.

Meetings are generally held at different locations by the decision of the Board.  The location is always clearly indicated as part of the notification sent out with the agenda, approximately one week prior to the meeting.

The meetings are open to all members of the FCN.  If you wish to speak at the meeting as a delegate, preregistration is required by contacting the secretary 10 days in advance at .
