Hello, my name is Bob Simonowits. Both my spouse, Cora, and I live in Edmonton, Alberta. We are retired educators and proud parents of four children and eight grandchildren. Cora assists our children with the grandkids, and I have a job jar to work on around the house!
We have been naturists for approximately 30 years, starting on the beaches of Cayo Largo and Santa Maria, Cuba. My wife and I are currently members of Helios, just outside of Edmonton. Also, we have attended some of The Polar Bares’ activities, a new Non-Landed Club in Edmonton. We attend swims held twice a month in the winter at an Edmonton pool. The organizer, Ray, previously held the Prairie Director’s position for FCN.
We have travelled to numerous naturist resorts/locations in the Caribbean and the United States. In Canada, we’ve enjoyed Bare Oaks. Europe is still on our bucket list. Bare Necessities cruises with friends have been quite enjoyable. We met Ruth, FCN Director, and her husband during a Bare Necessities cruise.
Cora and I are avid pickleball players and enjoy resorts like Sun Meadows in Idaho and Cypress Cove in Florida. Otherwise, we play at a park near our home or the local school!
A lifetime hobby has been photography, which I continue through retirement.
Previously, I was a director of AANR-WC for two years, spearheading a comprehensive members survey. As one of the FCN Prairie directors, my goal is to support the organization and the team with my skills to promote naturism.
